[REVIEW] Mugunghwa Market

Last Saturday (4/05/13), I heading to Mugunghwa Market that located in Jalan Senayan blok S, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. This is my first time visiting Mugunghwa Market. FYI, I was Koreanholic and addicted to all about Korea, including it's food. I've searched some review about Mugunghwa Market before and then make a descision to go to that place. FYI again, I'm not a traveller so, at first I was confused about the direction so our driver should asked to people several times. After get the direction I still woried coz that day is weekend and I worrying about what if it's closed on weekend. Praise the Lord, it's open fortunately :D.

Ah, I forgot to tell you that I was going to Mugunghwa with my Kpop friend xD. Mugunghwa Market is like a minimarket, the place was small but i love that they have a mini restaurant inside :D. In there, you can eat every kind of food on menu. The price was cheap and the mini restaurant was good, even though it was bad at lighting. We look on menu and we order a plate of tteokbokki, a bowl of bibimbap, a panful ramyeon and 2 odeng. Here is the photos but without bibimbap and ramyun coz i forgot to take it picture.

Tteokbokki
Odeng and Kimchi
Okay, I have a several opinion about the food. Here it is:
1. Appearance
From all of the food that served, all is exactly same with what included on menu except bibimbap and ramyeon. So, i kinda dissapoint on it.
2.Kimchi
The kimchi that served is not 배추/baechu kimchi or white cabbage kimchi but the green one as seen on the picture above. Actually, I always look Korean eat baechu kimchi as a side dish but what I get is the green one. Honestly, I've ever tried baechu kimchi and it's taste great and fresh :D not too spicy and it doesn't has a strong smell of garlic coz I hate too much garlic. Nah, the kimchi that served I don't know the name but it's also has a great taste and really2 fresh, so I don't became regret to eat it.
3.Odeng
Wah, this is the first time I tried odeng and I want try it again!!It was HIGHLY RECOMMENDED from me :D
4.Tteokbokki
Hmm for tteokbokki, I've been tried it before with the spicy taste but this one is sweet, yet I hate sweet stuff on main menu like this, except it was dessert or snack.
5.Ramyeon
Well, I'm not sure that the chef was making Korean ramyeon, coz it's looks like Indonesian noodles errrr. What make its different is just it's served with a small brass pot like what we usually seen on K-drama. The rest is just same, served with just a scrambled egg and that's all.
6.Bibimbap
Well yeah, this is korean rice mixed with various vegetables. I'm not sure whatever is put inside but I just can recognize that there is carrots, sesame seed, bean sprouts, beef, egg and of course rice. It has sesame oil smell but not too strong so I can enjoy it. The unique things is it was served in stone pot. But I'm forgot to put gochujang like another Korean did to bibimbap. Well next time, I'll eat with some knowledge about it.

Well yeah that was my review about the food. The other dissapoinment is the waiter not friendly with customer. His face is just like wanna kick us out lol. Ah, I bought 2 bottled juice, for me is kiwi and my friend choose strawberry and it's so fresh. So many korean visiting Mugunghwa at that time, and I also saw Indonesian too. Ah, the restaurant played some Kpop song so I sang while eating lol. Hmm I also meet Korean who looked like Park Shi Hoo (korea's actor) and he was handsome xD.

After making our belly bigger, we decided to back home. But I bought an ice cream before we left. Here it is 왕 수박 Ice or Watermelon Ice.
Watermelon ice
It has watermelon flavor and shape xD but there is peanut inside. So yummy.
So, wait for my next review about food. Sorry for bad english :D
See yaaa...
